Desert Springs waterfall Oasis

Thousands of people drive by this waterfall everyday that is a closely guarded secret among locals in the arid Arizona Desert. The hike is about 1/4 mile and well worth the stunning natural waterfall. A pool is constructed at the base of sandbags, which flows into the constantly changing and pleasantly warm Virgin River.

Many families visit this part of the river to cool off from the summertime heat. This would be a great place for a barbeque, or simply a fun and scenic stop on the way to St. George Utah or Las Vegas.

Everyone appears clothed at these springs, so bring a bathing suit and assume you will need it.

From Las Vegas: Take I15 North towards Salt Lake City. Drive for approximately 1.5 hours until reaching Mesquite NV. This is a great town for picking up supplies. Consider stopping in for a burrito at "La Mexicana" mexican grocery store @ 400 riverside road.

Continue on I15N for about 15 minutes and you will come upon tiny villages of Beaver dam AZ and Little Field. Continue, but immediately after crossing the Virgin River take the exit titled "Desert Springs." Take a right, and stay straight on the road. It will turn into a dirt road with a parking area. Continue down a small dirt path to the waterfall and swimming area.

From St. George Utah: Take I15 south through the Virgin River gorge as if you were driving to mesquite. Take the exit for Desert Springs mentioned above. Cross under the I-15 and immediately head west on the dirt road with the parking area. Continue down the small dirt path to the waterfall and swimming area.
